Kid PowerRocky Mountain School 3rd-5th Grade Students are getting fit and saving lives!

Since March 1st the 3rd-5th grade students at Rocky Mountain School have been wearing their UNICEF Kid Power bands. These bands are a multipurpose tool to help students stay in shape and help malnourished kids around the globe at the same time.

Our students are competing with other 3rd-5th grade students around the country to take the most steps and send out the most therapeutic food packets to children in need. Every 2,400 steps your student takes earns one Kid Power Point. Ten Kid Power Points earns one food packet.

Our class goal is to send out 500 food packets by the end of the school year. Thanks to parent support and student enthusiasm we are well on our way to achieving that goal!

As we enter Kid Power Month in May we encourage parents to remind students to wear their Power Bands to school, and to go on family walks with them to support their efforts.
